Welcome to the Farm

Elysium Acres — Home for Retired & Rescue Horses (“Elysium Acres”) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit horse sanctuary and farm. Located in Chester, New Hampshire, we are a private, female-operated equine sanctuary, run by Director of Operations Patti Lessard. Fundamentally, the belief in the healing power of horses is at our core.

Our sanctuary encompasses more than twenty-six acres of conservation land and numerous buildings. In particular, this includes a private home, a workshop, a barn, and several paddocks. Holding historic significance as one of the oldest structures in the area, the property’s main house was built in the 1790s!
